The symptoms of anal cancer may be:
  • Bleeding
  • Pain
  • Discomfort
  • The sensation of a lump
  • Itching of the skin around the anus
  • Changes in existing anal warts

Many of these symptoms may be caused by benign conditions e.g. haemorrhoids or and anal fissure, so thorough examination is important.
